The New Sound of Sample Management

Due to their outstanding throughput, high transfer accuracy and precision down to nanoliter volumes and any-well to any-well transfer capabilities, Echo Liquid Handlers have long been integral to state-of-art sample management and high throughput screening solutions.

Offering these same benefits, the Echo 650T Liquid Handler now supports sample transfer directly from Echo Qualified sample tubes enabling a fully non-contact dispensing workflow from sample storage all the way to assay ready plates. Capable of transferring as little as 2.5 nL from 384-well and 1536-well microplates and now acoustic tubes arrayed in a 96-tube format, the Echo 650T Liquid Handler is ready to meet the needs of a wide variety of molecular and cellular assays.

Echo 650T Liquid Handler

Key Benefits

  • Tube enabled Echo Liquid Handler to address a diverse range of applications
  • Simplified sample screening through direct transfer from Echo Qualified sample tubes
  • Accurate, precise movement of nanoliter-scale quantities, enabling assay miniaturization, further reducing costs
  • Greatly simplified assay development and dilution processes through the flexibility to transfer any volume of liquid from any well to any other well
  • Better results through direct dilution of compounds, an improvement over serial dilution method

Acoustic Sample Tube Management

The FluidX AcoustiX Sample Tube (FAST) was developed in collaboration with and is sold by Brooks Life Sciences for ultra-high-density sample storage. The acoustic tube offers the following benefits:

  • Enhanced sample integrity through unique cap design – permits over 500 cap/decap cycles
  • Random access to any stored sample minimizing freeze/thaw cycles
  • Echo Qualified Tube design and manufacturing – compatible with Echo 650T and 655T Liquid Handlers
  • Working volume of 15-90 µL and 20-90 µL with DMSO and aqueous fluids respectively

Workflow Automation

To meet the broad spectrum of sample throughput needs, the Echo 650T Liquid Handler seamlessly integrates with the highly configurable Access Dual or Single Robot System accommodating a wide variety of devices and enabling a fully automated workflow. Whether your workflow requires plate reformatting, hit picking, daughter plate creation or adding samples and reagents for screening assays or genomics workflows, Labcyte offers a fully integrated Echo 650T Liquid Handler solution to meet your needs.
